BD Lodge is an exclusive private lodge on Bartholomeu Dias Point, with long stretches of unspoilt beaches. This tropical paradise is situated 30km north of Inhassoro, Mozambique. The lodge offers accommodation in several sea or lagoon facing chalets, built on stilts, leading onto lit boardwalks which wind between exquisite natural vegetation.
The chalets, restaurant, and bar are built with local traditional materials and all provide panoramic views of the sea, BD Island and the lagoon. Chalets provide for self-catering and full restaurant facilities will soon also be available (from August 2008). Days can be spent lounging by the pool, lying on the beach, taking river cruises on a boat or Dhow, or going on day trips to the nearby BD Island where a picnic lunch can be enjoyed. BD lodge offers many activities including fishing, paddle skiing, canoeing, water skiing
and bird watching. The BD Point area provides for excellent fishing, whether it is surf fishing for the mighty ignoblis or deep sea fishing for marlin, sailfish or dropshotting for up to 20 different species. The waters of Mozambique are home to a large variety of spectacular fish.
BD Lodge offers you, the guest, unspoilt views and unimaginable sunsets from the balcony of your private chalets, overlooking crystal clear lagoon waters or waking to the breathtaking sunrise from your sea front 
accommodation. BD Lodge is situated in an environmentally protected area. The accommodation is comfortably furnished and is available in either 2 or 6 sleeper units with en-suite bathrooms. Our family units have three separate bedrooms fitted with a double bed, 4 twin beds as well as 2 day-beds in the open plan lounge and kitchenette. All standard chalets have a fully equipped, central, self catering kitchen, dining area and bar. There is a covered lapa for good old South African Braai and a partly shaded pool for cooling off. The restaurant and bar in the main building will be completed in July 2008. Fishing charters are available with our resident fishing guide on our fully equipped deep-sea fishing boat. The following species may be caught: Marlin, Sailfish, King Mackerel, Queen Mackerel, Dorado, Barracuda, Kingfish, Queen fish, Snappers, Rock cod, Rainbow Runners and many more.
